Bloom

Most people think of blooming as a part of springtime.

Not in Arizona.

I’ve had this serrano pepper plant since the spring time.

It would go through stages of growing and then not, and I wasn’t sure if I was  ever going to see signs of production.

Maybe this plant just didn’t want kids, you know?

But then the other day I noticed small, little buds growing on the plant.

And today, I got flowers.

Now I just have to hope I actually get some peppers!

(If nothing else, at least the crickets are fed. Oof. Poor leaves.)
