NYE Story
Last night I was serving out on the patio. These two younger guys sit down and I go to greet them. The guy on the right just starts talking and talking and it’s obvious he’s drunk. I try to be friendly but he’s making crude remarks so I tell him I’m going to go get his drinks and remove myself. He’s ordered a margarita and I go tell a manager that we can’t serve him so she goes to talk to them, and because the guy was being inappropriate I asked my coworker, Adam, to serve them instead, since he’s not busy.
Things the guy proceeds to do:
Order a sake.
When Adam says no, tell Adam he’s not getting a tip.
High five Adam’s other table and say, “It’s New Year’s Eve, I’m wasted!”
Talk to Adam whenever he’s in eyesight.
And then? They dine and dash. They literally ran, according to the other table outside.
Except.
He left his wallet. With all of his cards, identification, money. I gave it to the manager and she made a police report.
Happy new year, dude.
